About Kay Elliott
Kay began painting aged 50! With no art training she concentrated on floral watercolours and has now sold over 800 paintings at many exhibitions. Branching out to produce prints, cards, china mugs, melamine, jigsaws, tea-towels and forty eight soft furnishing fabrics over the years - she now only produces cards.
In 2023 she and her daughter Becky moved to live in Orgiva, in The Alpujarras of Southern Spain, and began a new chapter of their lives running a stunning Guest House called Almond Hill House. With the large studio she is looking forward to running workshops for locals and guests, as well as, being included as part of a retreat schedule.
Striving to capture the essence of a flower - its form, colours and vivacity - she is unafraid of exaggerating size and produces work to lift the spirits. She teaches with enthusiasm and generosity - sharing her experience - and her aim is for each person to be delighted with their days work.
